It is also important to note that some studies showed that yoga could improve the quality of life of participants when used as a complimentary therapy in patients suffering from cancer and other ailments [1]

Improvement of mental state and mental health through meditation or meditative state. By holding poses for a particular amount of time we get into a meditative state. Meditation itself calms the mind improving focus and releasing stress, releasing positive hormones and decreasing the levels of the stress hormones. Yoga also has been also been proven to raise and boost your immune system by improving its’ functionality [2]

Studies also showed that regular yoga practice could help participants with managing chronic pain, from carpal tunnel or osteoarthritis [3]

Overall, finding the time to practice yoga in any amount of time, even if it’s for 15 minutes 3 times a week, can contribute to better immunity, managing of ailments and chronic pain and improved physical and mental health.
